Freelance Creative Director Brooklyn, New York
At 6’8”, Luke Hughett is officially the tallest Freelance Creative Director in the tri-state area.
Despite his height, he never really enjoyed playing basketball and instead channeled all his passions and energies into art. Making things. And making them beautiful. And he’s been making things—and making them beautiful—ever since.
Most recently he was working with long-time creative partner Sean Lee at Bullish, making things for clients like Pepsi, ABInBev, Matchabar & GoDaddy—things that will be posted on this site soon enough.
Before Bullish, Luke & Sean made a giant cockrocket float for K-Y's first appearance in the NYC Pride Parade.
At Deutsch—they made three huge handcrafted, steel-framed wooden puzzles for Jägermeister, a giant wearable bagel for Milk, three hovercrafts for Microsoft and a time-traveling, ceiling-crashing superwoman for American Heart Association. And in his spare time, he made a baby and encased his own beard in a block of solid lucite.
Before Deutsch, they were making things at Ogilvy for SAP, Thomson Reuters and IBM and making digital things at IconNicholson for MasterCard and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Luke has a BFA in Communication Arts, a lifelong passion for graphic design and typography.
